FUERTEVENTURA

Fuerteventura is located in the Canary island territory; geographicaly it is not very big.

The climate is the most similar to the Caribbean climate in all the Iberian Peninsula; we can always find good weather and a little quantity of precipitations some times. But the similarities with the caribbean  don't finish there, also we can find the typical caribbean beaches, with kilometers of white thin sand which comes from the Sahara desert with the calima.
In my opinion the most atractive thing in the island apart from the spectacular beaches, is the "DUNAS OF CORRALEJO".These "Dunas" are a natural reserve, the sand of this kind of desert comes directly from the Sahara desert whit the help of the calima wind.

There is only one airport, in the south of the island near the port of Rosario.
Personaly I would take the plane at Bilbao airport directly to Fuerteventura without scales and in 2:30 hours you would be in this magnificent island, for relaxing and enjoying.

Also if you want to feel the adrenaline instead of the sun ligth you will be able to practice these sports:
